Denture Relines & Rebases In Delta, BC
Relines and rebases are procedures in which the tissue side of the denture, the side that rests directly on patient's gum, is modified. Over time, the soft and hard tissues on which dentures rest in the mouth change. This results in dentures becoming loose, in multiple sore sore spots in the mouth, and often in both conditions.
The procedure involves taking an impression inside of existing denture and fabricating a better fitting denture surface using this impression. It is important to note that the denture teeth are not changed in this procedure and the appearance of the denture is not affected.
In the rebase, a greater amount of denture base material is replaced, which can result in a stronger, better fitting denture.
